Tahirah believes that love is sacred, joy is medicine, and ceremonies should feel both deeply personal and joyfully unforgettable. As an educator, therapist, life coach, sound healer, and author, she has devoted her life’s work to helping others live with clarity, intention, and connection. Serving as an officiant with Journeys of the Heart allows her to bring those same values to one of life’s most cherished moments: the celebration of love.

Tahirah was raised in the vibrant, soulful city of New Orleans, a place that taught her to celebrate life fully and often. She comes from a family that loves love—her parents have been happily married for more than 50 years! This foundation shaped her belief that joy, commitment, and celebration belong together. She carries that spirit into every ceremony she officiates—grounded, meaningful, and full of heart.

Tahirah brings curiosity and a deep spiritual attentiveness to each couple’s story. She honors all traditions while creating space for creativity, personalization, and joy. Whether a ceremony rooted in spiritual meaning, cultural significance, or simply the beauty of their shared journey, she helps each couple bring their vision to life with care and creativity.

Tahirah has a special love for reimagining tradition in ways that feel fresh, fun, and uniquely authentic be it something simple and sacred or lively and full of personality (second lines welcome!) She works with each couple to design a ceremony that reflects who they are and the essence of their relationship.

Beyond officiating, Tahirah is a sound healer, author, and founder of The Well Center. She finds joy in music, dance, crafting, and curling up with a good mystery novel. Her creative passions and spiritual practices allow her to hold space for others with warmth, presence, and love.
